Unbound Massage and Bodywork
by Sheila Mae, LMT

Policies

It is important that all clients understand that massage therapy is not a substitute for medical care. I am not permitted to diagnose illness or orthopedic conditions. I may only assess and treat soft tissue conditions, such as trigger points and muscular imbalances, as outlined by the South Carolina Board of Massage Therapy. Please see your physician prior to booking if you feel that you are experiencing symptoms of a medical condition.

  • Whenever possible, hands-on bodywork time will reflect the full length of time booked for your session. Please allow up to an additional 15 minutes in your schedule following your session to allow for consultation and dressing. If you do not have additional time, please let me know so that I can be mindful of your schedule.
  • It is crucial that you communicate your needs during session. However, while appropriate conversation is welcomed, it should be noted that unrelated topics may distract from the focus of the session.
  • Appointments are most conveniently booked, rescheduled, or cancelled online at www.sheilamaelmt.com or in-person before or after your previously scheduled session.
  • Payment is expected promptly at the time of your session. Cash, Check or Venmo are accepted. Gratuity is never expected, but always appreciated!!
  • Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. Both therapist and client reserve the right to terminate a session if they feel their safety or dignity have been compromised.

Cancellations:

I require a minimum of 24 hours notice if you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, so that I have a chance to fill the gap in my schedule and protect my income. A 100% cancellation fee will be charged for late cancellations and no-shows.
